- 128 Horsepower
- 433 Pounds
- The fastest production bike in the world in 1986, period. Nothing else was even in its class. Suzuki developed this ground breaking, aluminum framed superbike, with a monstrously powerful engine, to simply out class everything else. And it did.
- Triple disk brakes with 4 piston front calipers. Super wide and found aspect tires for 19886, ensured tight handling.
- The rider is positioned in a deeply scooped seat, and sits behind an aerodynamic fairing. Racing style clip-ons allow the perfect riding posture for high speed use.
- Handling is solid and predictable, but not particularly nimble. More of a solid high speed bike in a straight line, or gentle sweeping turns.
- Period modifications are a good 4 into 1 pipe, and individual carb filters, which usually yield an additional 10 horsepower. Not that it needs it. Compared to today’s 1000cc bikes, it’s relatively slow, the new bikes having 180 plus hp. But this engine is a torque monster that will straighten your arms and give any modern 600cc bike trouble in a straight line!
- This bike was, and still is the basis for most 500hp drag bikes.
- Completely stock and mostly original, this particular bike has low mileage, and runs like new.
