This European market version is arguably better looking than its U.S market counterpart, due to its smaller running lights, and lack of D.O.T body side marker lights. It is also fitted with its European spec headlights.
A very spirited sports sedan to drive. Light on its feet, the car is nimble and quick. The engine in this car is built to a fast street specification. It displaces 2 liters, and although it has a fairly high rev range, it makes plenty of torque from 2,500 rpm, all the way to its 7,000 rpm redline. The original 1,775 cc twin cam was down on power and torque by comparison.
The 5 speed transaxle shifts smoothly and precisely.
Four wheel disc brakes were a rarity in 1968, with many premium cars still using drums in the rear, if they had discs up front.
The Alfa 105 series sedan was always intended as a drivers car, and offered better performance than its competitors. Also, its interior is built with quality materials, and its ventilation system works quite well, aided by the pop out rear windows.
