A groundbreaking design in 1964, with its boxed sheet metal chassis, encased with a fiberglass body. Extremely rigid, and with very balanced handling being a mid-engine design, the 904 was a very competitive racing car, even against larger displacement Ferrari’s and Shelby Cobra’s.
904-005 is fitted with 2.0 liter flat 6 cylinder engine

Joe Buzzetta purchases 904-005, his old race car, from a European collector, and subsequently enters it in several Vintage races, until 2012 when he retires from racing.
From 1995 through 2023, the car has participated in many Concours events, including the 50 year Porsche reunions at both Laguna Seca, CA, and Watkins Glen, NY in 1998., The Amelia Island concours multiple years, Driven to America in 2017, Lime Rock Historic Festival in 1995 and countless others.
2021-2024
Joe Buzzetta, Jr., (son of Joe Buzzetta ) and James Buzzetta Jr. (Grandson of Joe Buzzetta), enters several vintage racing events, including the 7th Rennsport reunion at Laguna Seca in October 2023, and the VSCCA Fall Finale at Lime Rock Park in October 2024.
